2 Easy Valentine’s Day Makeup Looks for Beginners

Hi ladies! Today I will be introducing 2 easy makeup look that are suitable for Valentine’s Day. These makeup are simple and meant for those who seldom apply makeup.

The two looks are the “Natural Glow” and the “Glamorous Red” for those who are more adventurous!

The Natural Glow is suitable for office/school use and can be touched up to become the “Glamorous Red” for evening date.

“Natural Glow” Makeup Look

Start with clean face and followed by your usual skincare routine. Do remember to put your sunscreen lotion as the last step of the skincare routine.

Here is me with moisturized face:

After putting on your base (foundation primer (optional), foundation, concealor, powder), apply the eyeshadow primer and blend with finger.

Use a medium brown colour on the outer corner of the eyelid. This will give a subtle depth to the crease. A fluffy brush is used to apply the eyeshadow and blend to remove any hard edges.

Apply a lighter brown/champagne colour to the eyelid. Sweeping from the front to the center of the eyelid. Avoid blending too high up towards the eyebrows.

Next, choosing either dark brown or black eyeshadow colour, apply it to the outer corner of your eye, along the lashline. This will enhance the depth and create a “lifting” effect. Remember to use a small pointed brush or pencil brush.

Do the same to the lower eye but only 1/4 from the outer corner.

This is how the eye makeup should look when you look into the mirror.

Next, we will apply the eyeliner. Extend the liner slightly beyond corner of your eyes to elongate it.

Curl your eyelashes and apply mascara to the upper and lower eyelashes.

Using a waterproof, smudgeproof eyeliner, draw in between the eyelashes where you will see the “white gap”. This is to create fuller eyelashes and define your eyes.

Eye makeup done.

Finished up the look with your eyebrows, blush, highlight and slight contour and lips.

I used warm pink colour for blusher and beige colour for the lips.

“Glamourous Red” Makeup Look

Using the same eye makeup technique, which is to keep the eye colours neutral, use a red lipstick and dot on some to the cheeks and blend. And lastly apply to the lips. Here I chose a cherry pinky red on me.

Extend the eyeliner longer.
